Crane operator wanted in Jefferson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane operator in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Your main tasks: • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity Ideal candidate: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
