Immediate opening: crawler crane operator (Alaska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Haines Borough, Alaska. You will be based on a high-rise tower crane. What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts You will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer $2,500 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
