Machinist — Accomack County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Accomack County, Virginia. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
