Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in McCreary County, Kentucky. The job is in a tailoring workshop. Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
