Core maker • Blair County, Pennsylvania

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Blair County, Pennsylvania. The job is on the moulding line. On the job you will handle: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
