Sheet metal welder — Hempstead County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Hempstead County, Arkansas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience.
