Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Twiggs County, Georgia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day to day you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity.
