Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Genesee County, Michigan. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
