Concrete placer • Wayne County, Pennsylvania

Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete placer in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a ready-mix concrete plant. The role involves: • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
