Formwork carpenter — DeWitt County

Now hiring: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in DeWitt County, Illinois. You will be based in a bespoke joinery workshop. Requirements: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage The role involves: • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
