Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching.
