Great opportunity: we are hiring a site labourer in Cornwall, England. The job is on a residential housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns Requirements: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage 1+ years on the tools preferred.
