Core maker — Tippah County

Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Tippah County, Mississippi. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Full-time, day shift.
