Garden maintenance worker — Lowndes County

Now hiring: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Lowndes County, Georgia. You will be based at a private estate garden. Ideal candidate: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish On a typical shift you will plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
