Machine operator — Vermilion County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator in Vermilion County, Illinois. The job is in a CNC machine shop. On a typical shift you will monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches. Ideal candidate: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
