The role involves measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull. Requirements: • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
