Dogger — Sunderland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a dogger in Sunderland, England. The role involves: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
