Great opportunity: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Obio/Akpor, Rivers State. You will work in a hotel pastry kitchen. What we are looking for: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics The role involves: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough 1+ years on the tools preferred.
