Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Awgu, Enugu State. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
