Bar bender and fixer — Itasca County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Itasca County, Minnesota. You will work on a busy residential building site. Your main tasks: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
