Blocklayer • Volusia County, Florida

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Volusia County, Florida. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
