Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork erector in Rotherham, England. You will be based on a metro and tunnel project. Requirements: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing On a typical shift you will set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement.
