The role involves set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control.
