Safety inspector — Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety inspector in Jefferson County, Alabama. You will be based in a warehouse and logistics yard. On a typical shift you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry. Requirements: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
