Now hiring: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Pulaski County, Illinois. You will work in a bespoke joinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience Your main tasks: • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
