Shakeout operator — Pitt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Pitt County, North Carolina. You will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
