Crane rigger — Caldwell County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Caldwell County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
