Head butcher — Knox County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a head butcher in Knox County, Missouri. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Your main tasks: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
