GMAW welder • Kane County, Utah

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Kane County, Utah. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Your main tasks: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently 4+ years on the tools preferred. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
