Immediate opening: blocklayer (Georgia)

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Dodge County, Georgia. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks The role involves: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Full-time with occasional weekends.
