Foundry operative • Oldham County, Kentucky

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Oldham County, Kentucky. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
