Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction labourer in Somervell County, Texas. You will be based with a civil contractor. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Your main tasks: • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel 6+ years on the tools preferred.
