Now hiring: we are hiring a construction helper in Stark County, Illinois. You will work with a civil contractor. Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times The role involves erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
