Safety officer — Worcester County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Worcester County, Massachusetts. You will work at a manufacturing plant. On a typical shift you will record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
