Aluminium tig welder — Thomas County

Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Thomas County, Georgia. On the job you will handle: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 6+ years on the tools preferred.
