Sewing machine operator — Union County

Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Union County, New Mexico. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
