Semi-automatic welder — Pulaski County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Pulaski County, Arkansas. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
