Die-casting operator wanted in Harlan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Harlan County, Nebraska. You will work at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities 4+ years on the tools preferred.
