We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Nuckolls County, Nebraska. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Your main tasks: • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers You should have: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites Rotating shifts. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
