Tig welder — Durham County

Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Durham County, North Carolina. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Full-time with occasional weekends.
