Immediate opening: milling machine operator (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Laurens County, Georgia. You will work at a busy machine shop. You will set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
