Abattoir worker — Powhatan County

Join our team: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Powhatan County, Virginia. The job is in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Your main tasks: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
