Now hiring: we are hiring a spray painter (automotive) in Berkeley County, South Carolina. The job is in a car refinishing workshop. Requirements: • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Comfortable working in a spray booth with full PPE On a typical shift you will check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
