Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Portage County, Wisconsin. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. On a typical shift you will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown 3+ years on the tools preferred.
