Immediate opening: crane rigger (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane rigger in Grant County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Six days a week, one day off.
