Furnace operator • Schleicher County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Schleicher County, Texas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Six days a week, one day off.
