You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job.
