You should have: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Day-to-day duties: • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely Full-time, day shift.
