Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Stewart County, Tennessee. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift Day to day you will measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter.
