Bar bender and fixer — Baca County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Baca County, Colorado. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Day to day you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
